Thank Merlin for the improvement in the weather. All that rain and snow was starting to get to me. It's a wonder the whole team's not laid up in St. Mungo's with some malady or another from flying in it week after week. As it is, I think MacFarlan's come down with rain rot. Nasty looking rash, that, though I thought only animals were susceptible. Four hours of speed drills in the sunlight put everyone in better spirits, finally. Told the mates they should be glad we're further north, out of the year-round downpours. Once training was over for the day, it was back to domestic life, which is surprisingly more challenging than my dad lets on.
I've yet to find enough furniture to fill the place, despite the fact it's small, just two bedrooms and a few other spaces. There's a fantastic view of the beach and the North Esk, but it's lonely sometimes. I'm outside of town, for a number of reasons, so most days it's me and the estuary and the geese. Most of the lads live down a ways, either in Dundee or Perth and a few in Aberdeen. There's plenty of pubs between to keep us busy when we aren't training, but I've promised myself to get down to dad's more often. Visit the old places and see some people I haven't for a while if they don't turn me out on my arse.
If anyone should want tickets to a match, ask away. We'll be playing the Falcons the end of next week.
